Skye - Benchwarmer!
This dog is one of the many wonderful animals available for adoption at WHS. Despite their great looks and lovable personality, they have not found a new home yet and have become a benchwarmer. To get them back in the game and into a home, we have reduced their adoption fee. We know they will make a great addition to someone’s family – come meet them today!
What Skye's previous foster parent had to say about her:
Skye is very sweet and loving. She is great with my two kids. It took her about 24 hours to settle in and calm down. After that the jumping got a lot better and she generally chilled out. She's good in her kennel. She whined a little bit the first night (no more than 5 minutes) but has since become very fond of her kennel. The longest I have left her alone is 3 hours in the kennel, but she did great so I assume she could go longer. Shes great on leash using a front attached harness. No pulling, although she gets tangled now and again. She walks at a great heel. She is very trainable. We're working on "wait" and not jumping. She's mastered "sit" and right now we're trying to reinforce "sitting" before everything to avoid jumping. I don't know how well she is with other dogs because we don't have other dogs in the house. However she has shown no signs of reactivity on our walks. I think she has potential to be a great family dog!
